Welcome to Gatepost Tours and Concord, Massachusetts
Home to Four literary giants: Ralph Waldo Emerson, Louisa May Alcott, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Henry David Thoreau. Their literature and ideas have affected people the world over, from the nineteenth-century right through today, and continue to draw visitors from many countries and cultures. Five authors homes are stunningly preserved and open to the public, each with a special story to tell of its literary inhabitants. In One extraordinary town these authors lived, wrote, loved, and finally, were buried. They were neighbors, friends, mentors and occasionally, the subject of each others jokes, as they filled the years that would become known as “The American Renaissance”.
A pilgrimage to Concord is an experience in authentic, living history, and Gatepost Tours is the only all-inclusive tour company that can guide you through it all!
A little irreverent. A lot of fun.
